Join Evan Wolkenstein, author of Turtle Boy, who w Join Evan Wolkenstein, author of Turtle Boy, who will facilitate an interactive conversation about Grief and loss with educators and special guest Brianne “Brie” Overton,  FT, LPC, NCC, Chief Clinical Officer of Experience Camps, and Soyeon Davis and Tida Beattie, Co-founders of Meso Community.

In this conversation, we will examine how we process and move through grief and loss and discuss the connection it has with social isolation. After this conversation, we will create a space in our learning community (link in bio) to continue the conversation and bring you additional resources, including follow-up conversations with Soyeon Davis and Tida Beattie from Meso Community & Evelyn Moon, Director of Education at Good Grief, Inc. The follow-up conversations will discuss how to bring these conversations and resources to your students to support and empower them to end social isolation and create a culture of belonging in school.

Beyond Differences® is a student-led social justi Beyond Differences® is a student-led social justice movement empowering students to become activists, and change the culture of their school.

This is Ruth, who is an Allyship and Inclusions Representative on our National Teen Board, and contributes to all curricular teams.

Our National Teen Board members, and students in middle school, who learn about ending social isolation, work together to bring a positive and accepting culture to their school so everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Calling all educators! We are excited to be hostin Calling all educators! We are excited to be hosting 2 educator workshops to guide you through the art activity: My Recipe For Empathy, and provide helpful tips for running a No One Eats Alone® day at your school.

The workshops will be led by our National Programs Team and the artist behind our art project, Erin Reid! Mark your calendar for February 6 at 4-5 PM PST or February 9 at 2-3 PM PST. Come get helpful tips and advice so you can have a successful NOEA Day.
